2009 WORLD SERIES OF POKER

BASIC OUTLINE

Welcome to the 5^th season of the Brooktown World Series of Poker. At every event we will have no more than 16 players, the stakes will not be very high, as the main objective is not to take each other’s money, but rather to get together every four weeks and have a fun competitive atmosphere.

INDIVIDUAL EVENT BUY-IN

The tournaments will have an initial buy in of $40, with a one time optional re-buy/add-on of $20.Thus the most you can lose on any given night is $60. There will be 3 to 4 pay-outs awarded at each tournament depending upon the number of participants:

STARTING TIMES

We are shooting for a starting time of 8:00 pm. We understand that travel constraints are sometimes an issue, so although we are shooting for 8:00, we will hold off on starting the event until everyone has arrived and is ready, however we will not start any event later than 8:30 (except for the 3 summer events in June, July and August which will start no later than 9:00 pm). If a player is going to be any later than that, we must have confirmation that he is on his way, will not be more than 30 minutes late, and his blinds will be posted.

FOUNDER FEES

In January we will collect $160 from each founder. $60 of this will go into a food kitty and each month the host of the event will get $75 to use to cover his costs for food.

$100 is a one time fee and it is intended for those who want to have a chance to play for the Championship in December. We require a one time $100 league fee for all the monthly events, as well as the $60 food fee discussed earlier. This will ensure that you are guaranteed to play in any regular season event you chose regardless of the number of participants. It will also ensure that you will accumulate points based on your place of finish in every event. This “FOUNDER” option will be limited to only 14 guys (Costello, Brucato, Cole, Davis, Darakjy, Federowicz, Fern, Mangine, J Martucci, N Martucci, Lucash, Pascocello, Southard, Triola). The $160 must be paid prior to the first hand being dealt, and all the money collected will go to the December Championship event and for reimbursing each host $75 per event for food.

All FOUNDERS are invited and guaranteed a spot at each event.

The above dates are set. The location and type of event is subject to change. The only exception with changing a date, would be if weather or an unforeseen emergency causes the cancellation of an event, the make-up date will be the following Friday.

Prior to each tournament, specific rules for the blinds, ante’s time limits and structure will be given out.

POINT DISTRIBUTION AND ACCUMULATION

We have a point system assigned to each event. The higher you finish in each event, the more points you earn, with the top point getters playing for the 2009 Poker championship on Dec. 4, 2009. The top 6 point getters will receive an automatic invitation to the finals in December. The remaining players will then compete for the final 2 slots in a satellite event to be held prior to the final event.

The points at each monthly event will be distributed as follows:

If someone plays in an event, but has not opted to participate in the point accumulation option, the points for that participants finishing place will not be awarded to anyone. You will only be awarded the points based on what place you actually finished, regardless if the player(s) ahead of you chose to participate in the point accumulation feature or not. Points will be awarded provided there are at least two participants at a given event.

The overall point winner will be awarded $100 and not have to post an entry fee ($50) in the World Series of Poker championship event in December. In case of a tie, the player with the most 1^st place finishes will be awarded the title. (If still tied most 2^nd place finishes, etc.). He will also have his name engraved upon the very prestigious Brooktown WSOP Champions’ Plaque and will be immortalized on the BrooktownLeague.com website’s Hall of Fame forever.

WORLD SERIES OF POKER CHAMPIONSHIP & SATELLITE EVENT

In 2009 the final championship will be an 8 player event. The top 6 point leaders will qualify for a seat at the final table in the December Championship event. Any remaining FOUNDERS, who have participated in at least 6 of the regular season events, will then be eligible to compete in a satellite qualifying event with the 1^st and 2^nd place finishers from that event earning a seat at the final event in December. The starting chip count at the satellite event will be determined by your point accumulated position for the 12 regular events;

Your seating at the final championship table will be determined randomly. All the money collected from the $100 FOUNDER fees will go toward the prize money for the December World Series of Poker Championship. That money, in addition to the player’s buy-ins for the evening, will be distributed in the following manner:

1^st PLACE – 60%

2^nd PLACE – 30%

3^rdPLACE – 10%

The house will not take a cut out of any money put in by any player. Any costs for set up, web site, mailings, trophies etc., will be my responsibility fully.
